  1. I didn't realize you were a writer (should have known). I really enjoyed the story but it feels like the first chapter of another novel. Keep going!

    1. I'm glad to hear you liked it. It definitely needs editing, as this is only a rough second draft. I really don't know where else I would take it, to be honest with you. I had thought up a bit of background as to the ending, but nowhere else I wanted to take the story. Perhaps if I could think of a direction to take it in, I could at least expand on it. Thanks for the encouragement!

    1. Thanks! Still has a few drafts to go, I'm afraid, but it was so satisfying just to write 'THE END'!

  3. I too enjoyed reading your draft, most especially that touch of magic realism in the ending. My constructive input is similar to Richard's, the story cues the reader to expect more. Perhaps expand the ending a bit? Just my two cents'. Keep writing, writer!

    1. My short stories can be much like the career of the band Nirvana. They end on a high note, leaving you wanting more, but not staying around long enough to disappoint. That is, of course, my opinion anyway. Could be complete rubbish, of course. :D
Thanks for taking the time. I really appreciate it.
