  1. The digital age. That is why the government and big corporations want everything digital -- so they can control the masses. Smart meters and appliances -- so they can shut off the electric. Computers (that are not and have never been needed in cars) so they can shut down all private transportation. Digital cellular phones, and more.
    Just like Steppenwolf's Monster or Orwell's 1984.

    1. Food for thought in that quote. And, of course, the premise fails given a moment of it. Consider the frequency with which "anyone" has been on the wrong track. Consider messages and phone conversation in WWII Germany discussing overthrow of the government, the same in the pre-revolutionary American colonies; plans for sit-ins or marches during the civil rights era in Selma, Alabama, and so on.

  4. This morning one of the biggest bank transfer companies in the Netherlands announced that they want to sell transaction information. They already withdrawn this idea because of the commotion in the media. I wonder for how long...
